Part 1 - Files, Bits, Bytes, and Pixels
Here we review basic concepts underlying the picture files produced by your camera. We provide an easy-to-understand discussion of the basic content of a color picture file and how operations like compression and resizing can make your files smaller and faster to transmit over the internet when emailing or uploading. We also review basic Windows folder structure and how it relates to Picasa folder structure.

Part 2 - Photo Editing
This is the major thrust of the book. We demonstrate use of all of Picasa's photo editing tools: Basic Fixes, Tuning, and Effects. We also provide a CD-ROM with sample picture files to enable you to follow step-by-step all the book's examples on your own computer as you read the book.

Part 3 - Using Other Picasa Goodies
Here we demonstrate some of the many other features that Picasa provides. Topics include Albums, Starred Pictures, Collages, Picasa Movies, Emailing with Picasa, Places-tagging, and Printing. Again a hands-on approach is provided to let you follow the examples step-by-step on your own computer.
